Top 25 Tracks of 2011
The rankings of my top 25 tracks of the year are not very scientific. I admit that there are some great songs that aren’t on this list because I “wore them out” earlier in the year. It’s tough to say whether I really like “Never Quite Free” more than “Ulysses.” Frankly, there should probably be more Middle Brother on this list. But with those disclaimers, here’s a stab at my top 25 tracks of the 2011.
- “Farther Along” by Josh Garrels
- “Blue Eyes” by Middle Brother
- “Million Dollar Bill” by Middle Brother
- “A Little Bit of Everything” by Dawes
- “A Machine Spiritual (in the People’s Key)” by Bright Eyes
- “For Charles Bronson” by the Mountain Goats
- “Helplessness Blues” by Fleet Foxes
