I don’t know if I’m going to do 52 in 52 again, but I’m sure on track for it if I want to! Other options:
- 4 in 4 (4 books of more than a thousand pages in 4 seasons)
- 12 in 12 (12 books of some particular quality or length in 12 months)
- 6 in 6 (6 books of more than, say, 700 pages in the 6 ecological seasons of temperate climates)
- 13 in 13 (13 books of some kind in 13 Zodiac signs. Yes, thirteen! Well, if you buy into all this Ophiuchus business…)
Anyway, without further ado, here’s what I’ve got so far.
- The Art of Manliness by Brett & Kate McKay, 274 pages (4 Jan)
- True Grit by Charles Portis, 215 pages (13 Jan)
- Bone by Jeff Smith, 1332 pages (13 Jan)
- All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison, 308 pages (13 Jan)
- Generous Justice by Tim Keller, 230 pages (25 Jan)

Or you could do the complete works of four particular authors— one per season. Shakespeare, Dostoevsky, Camus, and… C.S. Lewis, to give you a break.

I could do 52 in 52, but instead of 52 different books, it would be 52 different wines.
